The Food Recovery Network

Film by Dani Shae Thompson

From the filmmaker:

In the United States, over 40% of the food we grow and prepare gets thrown away, yet 1 in 8 americans are food insecure.

This story profiles the Goucher College chapter of the Food Recovery Network, an organization working to change these statistics by donating leftover food from dining halls at over 60 colleges and Universities across the country.

Video produced for ViewFinder, an advanced visual storytelling course at the University of Maryland.
