Wood Thrush: King of Coffee

Video by Wild Lens for Wild Lens

From the filmmakers:

The Wood Thrush is one of many neotropical migratory songbirds that spend their winters foraging in the forests of central America. When sections of forest are cleared for agriculture and development, Wood Thrush lose critical overwintering habitat. Coffee farms that incorporate a diverse canopy of shade and maintain adjacent forest may play an important roll in providing suitable habitat for migratory birds as researcher Brett Bailey explains in this short documentary.
